An unusual and high quality antique 19th century gilt cast brass / ormlou and cut glass oil lamp base, the three lion masks surrounding a cut glass globe above downswept legs with lions paw feet resting on a lobed cut glass base and beeded disc supports. Small scale. Cleaned, lightly polished and rewired with 2.5m fabric flex, patinated brass safety-switched lampholder and traditional phenolic plug. Pat tested. FLEXI-STEM SHELL SHADE DESK LAMP

An antique desk lamp with a brass flexi stem, angle sided oblong base with original dark green “wrinkled” paint. Paired with a chromed brass period shell shade. English, c1940. Fully cleaned, lightly polished brass parts and (museum) waxed base. Rewired with 2.5m fabric flex (exposed), new push button swith and traditional phenolic plug. New patinated brass grommet (flex outlet). New fabric base. Pat tested. Dimensions in inches/cms; 19.75″/50cm max height (16″/40cm normal working height). Base is 6.625″/16.25cm by 3.5″/9cm.
