LARGE HOLOPHANE LANTERNS

A rare set of four large prismatic glass 3 part Holophane lantern / pendant lights with bronzed brass hooked galleries and arm mounts. English c1920. All excellent condition and quality (very crisply cast glass) and complete. All glass parts marked Holophane. The convex upper glass and nippled lens glass are etched to the inside. Rewired with original ES lampholders and 1.5m fabric flex. Each includes 24″/61cm original brass chain. Dimensions in inches/cms; 14″/36cm diameter. 14″/36cm tall inc hook. HOLOPHANE STILETTO LANTERN LIGHTS

A set of three Holophane “Stiletto” two part prismatic glass pendant / lantern lights with brass ring mounts and scrolled chain hooks. English, c1920. A rare complete set (see detail photos) and in very good condition. Complete with original brass “hangers”,galleries and hooked ceiling plates (supplied with vintage patinated slotted screws). The glass marked BLONDEL STILETTO BOWL and HOLOPHANE 6312. Cleaned and rewired with brass ES lampholders positioned for optimal central bulb placement, 1.5m fabric flex. Dimensions in inches/cms; 16″/41cm max diameter inc. scrolled hooks (12″/31cm glass only . 28″/72cm drop (from top of hanger hook to base of bowl).Plus height of the hooked ceiling plate (2-3″/5-7cm). OSLER HALL LIGHT

A small silver mounted cut glass hobnail bowl pendant light / lantern with a cut glass finial probably by Osler. Edwardian 1900. Cleaned, polished, rewired (1.5m fabric flex, new bronzed brass lampholder, S-hook. Dimensions in inches/cms; 6.50″/17cm diameter. 15″/38cm tall (to top of loop, not S-hook). 1.28kg. One of several Osler light fittings currently in stock (as of end March 2026).

A rare and good pair of antique art deco period glass slab lanterns with great quality cast brass mounts / fittings. 1920s. N.B. There is a corner break to one of the glass slabs. Please see close up images. This is glued and is reflected in the price. A shame, otherwise excellent condition. They come with their original S hooks (plus a few links of chain) and hooked ceiling plates (supplied with patinated brass screws). They can obviously be hung with longer lengths of chain. OTTOMAN GLASS LANTERN

A colourful painted antique “crackle” glass lantern with quality brass hanging mounts / loops. Not sure of the origins of this lamp. Seems to be an Ottoman theme. Early 20th century- 1920s. Excellent quality and in largely very good condition ( couple small splinters chips to upper rim of glass-see close up images – please note the glass is thick and robust). Cleaned and rewired ( 1.5m fabric flex, bronzed brass BC lampholder / cordgrip). Hangs with new solid patinated brass chain and hooked ceiling plate (earthed, brass cable guide, brass fixing screws). VAL ST LAMBERT GLASS LANTERN

An antique Val St Lambert glass lantern with decorative repousse brass band hooked mount. Belgium c1900. Etched inscription (see photo) to side reads; DE GRELLE VAL ST LAMBERT MADE IN BELGIUM BEST CRYSTAL GLASS. Now electrified without using the original glass smoke cover (which i may still have). Ready to go; wired with approx. 1m fabric flex and patinated brass BC lampholder / cordgrip. Complete with solid brass patinated brass chains and a patinated brass ceiling 3 hook plate (earthed, brass cable guide, cordgrip, patinated slotted brass fixing screws). See close up images for details. Dimensions in inches/cms; Drop (ceiling to bottom of glass) is 30.5″/77.5cm. This could easily be reduced. Glass shade only is 12.5″/32cm tall. VICTORIAN IRON GAS LANTERN

A large antique Victorian wrought iron gas lantern with bullseye stained glass glazing panels (one hairline crack in one panel-see closeup). English, 19th century c1880. Complete and in excellent condition. Ready to go; this has been meticulously cleaned and rubbed up ( plus 2 full coat clear “museum” wax) retaining the original black paint which has never been recoated ( a very different formulation to a modern oil paint ). Rewired with a new patinated brass ES lampholder and new patinated brass tube to hold the lampholder firmly so a globe bulb is positioned centrally (not hung on a loose flex). N.B. The wooden ceiling pattress has a brass fitting/ spigot screwed on the underside (covered by a loose cast iron canopy) to which the top of the main stem fitting screws onto securely – i can explain if needs be but it’s all there, no parts needed! Dimensions in inches/cms; 58.25″/148cm total height/drop (19.75″/50cm tall from base to top of corner finials). 14″/38cm max width (not diagonal). 10.25″/26cm square-min. body width. 10.2kg.
