NEOCLASSICAL MOONSTONE PLAFONNIER

An antique moonstone glass bowl plafonnier light with repeating urn, ribbon and bellflower swag decoration to the perimeter and radial fluting. English early 20th century. Includes it’s original hook mounts (new washers). Bowl is cleaned and marks removed. Wired with 1.25m fabric flex, patinated brass cordgrip/BC lampholder. Supplied with patinated 3 hook ceiling plate (inc brass cable guide, earth, screws, cordgrip) and patinated solid brass hanging chains. Dimensions in inches/cms; 14″/36cm diameter. A good alabaster bowl plafonnier with crisply cast gilt brass / ormolu rams mask mounts, original gilt cut chains and cast gilt brass decorative three hooked ceiling plate. Irish / English, early 20th century. Minor “bulb” mark to inside and outside. Overall a very good looking intact bowl. Ready to install; wired cordgrip lampholder / 1.25m fabric flex assembly. Ceiling plate supplied with vintage patinated slotted screws. You may want a wooden ceiling plate or pattress. See detail photos for close ups of what is supplied and of the bowl. A rare pair of antique very dark red claret glass handblown globes with their original decorative brass hooked galleries. English, early 20th century. Excellent quality heavy glass globes and galleries. Rewired with 1.5m bergundy fabric flex and patinated brass ES lampholders positioned using old brass tube to place a medium / large globe bulb approxiamately in the centre of the shade. They will not give a very high light output – a red glow -obviously of varying intesity depending on the wattage of the bulb…..ATMOSPHERIC!
