A great quality antique brass trough shade bankers / desk work / study / office lamp with heavy (cast iron weighted) dished circular base and fully adjustable by the magic of friction; up and down and around the stem, arm can be raised and lowered, trough can be raised or lowered. English, approx 1920s-30s. Excellent condition and ready to go; Cleaned, polished and rewired with 3m fabric flex, patinated brass safety-switched lampholder and traditional phenolic plug. A large brass antique GEC students / desk / office / work lamp in excellent condition paired with a Holophane prismatic shade (marked Holophane). English 1920s-30s. Excellent condition. Very sturdy with heavy weighted base. Fully adjustable; shade arm moves up and down and around the central stem, the shade moves up and down on a thumbscrew operated joint. VICTORIAN IRON GAS LANTERN

A large antique Victorian wrought iron gas lantern with bullseye stained glass glazing panels (one hairline crack in one panel-see closeup). English, 19th century c1880. Complete and in excellent condition. Ready to go; this has been meticulously cleaned and rubbed up ( plus 2 full coat clear “museum” wax) retaining the original black paint which has never been recoated ( a very different formulation to a modern oil paint ). Rewired with a new patinated brass ES lampholder and new patinated brass tube to hold the lampholder firmly so a globe bulb is positioned centrally (not hung on a loose flex). N.B. The wooden ceiling pattress has a brass fitting/ spigot screwed on the underside (covered by a loose cast iron canopy) to which the top of the main stem fitting screws onto securely – i can explain if needs be but it’s all there, no parts needed! Dimensions in inches/cms; 58.25″/148cm total height/drop (19.75″/50cm tall from base to top of corner finials). 14″/38cm max width (not diagonal). 10.25″/26cm square-min. body width. 10.2kg. VICTORIAN AESTHETIC GAS LANTERN

A large glazed brass antique Victorian Aesthetic converted gas lantern with original cast brass ceiling canopy, brass frame, mounts, leaf & finial decoration, 4 original “starburst” cut glass bevelled glazing panels. English 19th century c1870. The later quality cast brass four lamp assembly is from an earlier conversion. One leaf of 24 is missing (see if you can spot it! -see close up photos), excellent condition otherwise. Ready to go; thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished, full rewire including 4 new SBC lampholders and 2 meters fabric flex. Includes 4 candle bulbs. Has a hook for hanging , the canopy covering it will work next to the ceiling or lower. The hook could be changed for a 3/4inch stem as in the original gas fixture. CLASSICAL REEDED COLUMN LAMP

A good quality antique gilt brass / ormolu oil lamp base; the slim “bell” capital and tapered reeded column on paw footed tri-monopodae legs with puma/panther leopard (?) knees, adorned with acanthus, lambs tongue, anthemion and palmettes. English, 19th century. The castings are individually number stamped (the removeable palmettes each stamped with a different number). Slight lean (probably original – no sign of damage), otherwise excellent condition. Thoroughly cleaned, very light polish. Rewired with 3m fabric flex, new brass patinated BC lampholder and 3amp phenolic plug. Pat tested. BANKERS DESK LAMP HEART SHAPED BASE

An antique brass bankers desk lamp with a heart shaped base. English approx 1930s. In complete good condition with overall even patination. Adjustable; the stem by a large thumbscrew operated joint at the base, and the shades moves up and down. Fully restored; taken apart, cleaned, lightly polished, the inside of the shade resprayed matt white to improve light quality. Fully rewired; 2.5m exposed fabric flex, new patinated BC lampholder, new British made patinated brass toggle switch (good strong click) and new fabric to the cast iron weighted base. Pat tested.
