An extra large antique moonstone dish plafonnier with neoclassical motifs; the gadrooned, rope twist and acanthus leaf ring mount retains its original antique patination; suspended by brass chains from a large four hook “hanger” with a knopped stem terminating in a BC lampholder. All in excellent condition but please note both the opal dish and mount are slightly oval- the dish being 18.25″/46.5cm by 18.75″/48cm. The mount and dish have always been together but not a “perfect” fit – they must be aligned in the right way when put together. Ready to go with all fittings. Included is a good patinated cast brass antique hook plate and vintage patinated brass fixing screws. Wired with 2m dark brown fabric flex. Dimensions in inches/cms; 22.25″/56.5cm max diameter (the glass dish alone is approx 18.75″/48cm). The drop from the top of the hook of the hanger assembly to the underside of the bowl is 34.5″/88cm. The total drop would be this (88cm) plus the height of the hooked ceiling plate (3.25″/8.5cm) plus any chain added between the ceiling plate hook and hanger hook – if needed. So a total drop of 37.75″/96.5cm (extendable with chain if required). The weight is 9.75kg (the glass dish alone is 6.1kg). Click photos to enlarge…
