PYRAMIDAL MIRRORED LIGHT – LARGE

A large antique mirrored pyramidal pendant (or surface) light with decorative pierced gallery. Taken apart, cleaned and fully rubbed up to a smooth finish (rust removed). Nice overall colour and finish. All metal parts waxed inside and out (mc museum wax). Rewired with new hooked BC lampholder, 1.5m fabric flex.Pat tested. Retains original “bulb splitter” providing optimal placement for two regular BC bulbs (see images). Chain not included but can be supplied in solid brass (or in black / galvanised jack chain) in any length. Dimensions in inches/cms; 24.5″/62.25cm wide. 12″/30.25cm deep. 11″/28cm tall inc. hook. “THE WIGAN” DOUBLE SIDED BULKHEAD LIGHT

Exceptionally rare – “The Wigan” – (never seen another) antique double sided ceiling mounted cast iron bulkhead light with protruding moulded and prismatic glass shades suspended with a steel conduit stem and a ball and socket jointed ceiling plate. English, 2nd quarter 20th century. Each side reads THE WIGAN MADE IN ENGLAND, also stating patents in various countries. The light and ball and socket joint both in original dark green paint, the stem is galvanised. All thoroughly cleaned, rubbed up and several coats “museum” wax applied. In excellent condition. Rewired, includes bulbs. Dimensions in inches/cms; 33″/84cm drop. The lamp is 8.5″/22cm tall x 6.5″/17cm wide x 6.25″/16cm deep. 5.5kg. Also although this is the only double sided one i have several “regular” wall mounted single sided “The Wigan” bulkhead lamps awaiting resatoration. DOUBLE SIDED BULKHEAD LAMP BY SIMPLEX

A rare antique cast iron double sided circular bulkhead lamp with domed glass shades suspended with a steel conduit stem and a ball and socket jointed ceiling plate. English, 2nd quarter 20th century. I have only owned and seen one of these. All original parts / fittings and original paint in excellent condition. Fully cleaned, rubbed up and 2 coats clear “museum” wax. Rewired and ready to go (may require new gasket if using in a damp environment). Has a BC lampholder. VICTORIAN IRON GAS LANTERN

A large antique Victorian wrought iron gas lantern with bullseye stained glass glazing panels (one hairline crack in one panel-see closeup). English, 19th century c1880. Complete and in excellent condition. Ready to go; this has been meticulously cleaned and rubbed up ( plus 2 full coat clear “museum” wax) retaining the original black paint which has never been recoated ( a very different formulation to a modern oil paint ). Rewired with a new patinated brass ES lampholder and new patinated brass tube to hold the lampholder firmly so a globe bulb is positioned centrally (not hung on a loose flex). N.B. The wooden ceiling pattress has a brass fitting/ spigot screwed on the underside (covered by a loose cast iron canopy) to which the top of the main stem fitting screws onto securely – i can explain if needs be but it’s all there, no parts needed! Dimensions in inches/cms; 58.25″/148cm total height/drop (19.75″/50cm tall from base to top of corner finials). 14″/38cm max width (not diagonal). 10.25″/26cm square-min. body width. 10.2kg. VICTORIAN AESTHETIC GAS LANTERN

A large glazed brass antique Victorian Aesthetic converted gas lantern with original cast brass ceiling canopy, brass frame, mounts, leaf & finial decoration, 4 original “starburst” cut glass bevelled glazing panels. English 19th century c1870. The later quality cast brass four lamp assembly is from an earlier conversion. One leaf of 24 is missing (see if you can spot it! -see close up photos), excellent condition otherwise. Ready to go; thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished, full rewire including 4 new SBC lampholders and 2 meters fabric flex. Includes 4 candle bulbs. Has a hook for hanging , the canopy covering it will work next to the ceiling or lower. The hook could be changed for a 3/4inch stem as in the original gas fixture. SCROLL & LEAF ARTS & CRAFTS LIGHTS

An antique set of wrought iron and faded gilt brass Arts & Crafts shade mounts/lights with three scrolled segments around a central stem adorned with cut brass leaves. There is a matching pair which also come with their original cut leaf ceiling plates / roses (black slotted fixing screws supplied with these and a similar one with steel decorative outer leaves rather than brass (this one doesn’t have a leaf “canopy or ceiling rose / plate.. One of the pair retains it’s original brass & wood cordgrip. The other two have replacement brass cordgrips. All three are paired with antique handblown glass coolie shades. All approx same period; English c1900. All taken apart (as far as possible), thoroughly cleaned and rubbed up and clear (museum) waxed for protection and a slight sheen. The black paint is original. Each rewired with 1.5m fabric flex. The BC lampholders are original. Priced individually. Dimensions in inches/cms; Pair; 10.5″/27cm tall x approx. 10.25″/26cm diameter (coolie shades).
