ART DECO SILVER LAMP BY HAWKSWORTH EYRE & Co

An art deco silver waisted square lamp by Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd hallmarked to 1925. Overall very good condition; some scratches, couple dings to corners (see closeup photos). Has been polished and rewired with 2.5m fabric flex, nickel plated brass safety-switched lampholder and traditional phenolic plug. New fabric to base. Pat tested. SILVER PLATED CANDLESTICK LAMP BY HAWKSWORTH EYRE & Co

An antique silver plated brass octagonal candlestick lamp by Hawksworth, Eyre & Co.. English, 1st quarter 20th C or earlier. This is cetainly one of the companies candlestick models and probably produced by them as an electric lamp judging by the quality of the fittings (all silver plated) / “conversion”. Slight lean. Silver plate very good with some wear to arrises. Cleaned, polished, rewired with 2.5m fabric flex, original silver plated switched lampholder, 3 amp phenolic plug. New fabric to base. Pat tested. ART DECO BANKERS LAMP

A period antique art deco brass bankers / desk / office / study lamp with a stepped circular base and bakelite trough shade. English 1920s-30s. Shade adjusts up and down and yoke/shade rotates at top of stem (can be fixed with screw) rotates. Lovely dark patina / colour to the metalwork and stamped 97 to the edge of the base. Cleaned, lightly polished, waxed and rewired with 2.5m fabric flex, original BC lampholder, new UK made brass toggle switch and traditional phenolic plug. New fabric to base. Pat tested. A beautiful pair of antique polished brass Faraday & Son extending brass baluster stem lamps with hexagonal bases. Cast brass with lead weighted bases. English, early 20th century. The ebony handled original switches unfortunately couldn’t be used but can be seen. N.B. The stems can easily be extended and retracted by holding the base firmly and feeding the flex as the stem is heightened or lowered. Cleaned, lightly polished and rewired with 3m fabric flex, patinated brass safety-switched lampholder and traditional phenolic plug.New fabric bases. Pat tested. A good quality antique brass and steel trough shade bankers / desk work / study / office lamp with heavy (cast iron weighted) dished circular base and fully adjustable; up and down and around the stem, arm can be raised and lowered, trough can be raised or lowered. English, approx 1920s-30s. Excellent condition and ready to go; Cleaned, polished (the shade “rubbed up” and waxed) and rewired with 3m fabric flex, patinated brass safety-switched lampholder and traditional phenolic plug.
