LOBED BASE BRONZED BANKERS LAMP

One of the best models of bankers / desk lamp. English, c.1930. An antique bronze patinated brass bankers / desk / work / table lamp with trough shade and large lobed cast base (also cast iron weighted). Cast brass parts, excellent quality, fully adjustable – and works very well (the stem moves back and forward using a trough friction joint with spring tension-good as new). This has been fully taken apart to refurbish; lightly cleaned and polished on the patinated brass parts, cast iron base de-rusted and polished, inside of trough shade T-cutted and waxed, rewired with 2.5m (exposed) fabric flex, new traditional plug. Pat tested. Dimensions in inches/cms; 17.5″/44.5cm max height (shade up). 15″/38cm -typical working height. Base is 7.75″/19.75cm diameter. 4.9kg. Click photos to enlarge…

HEART SHAPED BASE BRASS BANKERS LAMP

A good antique brass bankers lamp having an adjustable trough shade (note plated steel sides for better wear) , shaped stem attached (via a large thumb screw adjusted joint enabling stem to rise and fall) to a heart shaped brass base (cast iron weighted) with original toggle switch – gives a satisfying loud click when switched on and off.
